Jennifer Mears, FNP
Family Nurse Practitioner

Jennifer is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in acute hospital-based and primary care. Jennifer emphasizes patient and family-centered care in her multi-disciplinary approach to health, and strivess to help each patient achieve optimal vitality. Her practice emphasizes nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle modification to help manage chronic disease and maximize body function. Jennifer has experience in the management and prevention of vascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and endocrine disorders.

Jennifer received both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has advanced training in public health and palliative care, along with personal and professional experience working with special health care needs and chronic medical conditions.

Jennifer lives in St. Paul with her husband and three young children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, canoeing, camping, fishing, hiking and winter sporting. She is an active volunteer with her therapy dog working with special needs children; as well as a volunteer on several health and wellness advisory councils for St. Paul Public Schools.

In addition to Jen Mears, C-NP, Associated Nephrology Consultants has 5 full time board Certified nephrologists as well as 2 additional midlevel providers. We are expanding office times to accommodate urgent evaluations as well as evening appointments. Please watch for the exciting changes coming in 2016!
